Many investment salespeople make investing seem really complicated and risky, creating an investment maze for the investing public.  I Roy P. Drew, teach simple strategies for investing in financial security instrument.

 

  • I teach my clients how to do their own research (due diligence)—finding hidden risks and fees.
  • I clarify and simplify financial terms.

 

FAQ’s  (Frequently Asked Questions)

 

Do you loan money?  No, I do not loan money or make equity investments with my clients.

 

Are you a stockbroker?  No.  I am a “FEE ONLY” advisor.

 

Will you manage my portfolio?  NO

 

How often will you call me?  You will be the one who will usually instigate calls.  I work with you when you  have problems or need assistance.

 

What do you sell?  I sell absolutely no products of any kind.

 

Do you work with groups, investment clubs, or corporations?  Yes.  I have performed financial workshops for groups as large as 200.  My fee is negotiable.

 

Will you tell me which stocks to buy?  Yes.  I will give you specific recommendations that meet your needs and risk tolerance.  I will, at your request, teach you how to analyze corporations and their charts so you can make your decisions.  I will also make myself available for professional second opinions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Item 2    Fees and Compensation

I allow clients to call me when they want to talk about their investments.  I charge a monthly fee that is negotiable and ranges from $35 per month up to $2000 per month.  A client may want a face-to-face visit with me.  I will go to their home, office, or location of their choice for a two-hour session.  My charge is $75 per hour for individuals and $90 for couples.

 

Groups are also part of my advisory business.  In groups as large as 200 people, I perform seminars, in a question and answer format.  My fee for a group seminar is negotiable.

 

To sum up my service, I, Roy P. Drew, and a fee-based investment advisor serving as a fiduciary for individuals and groups.

  • Long term purchases (securities meant to be held for at least 1 year)

November 1992Bradley v. Stephens Inc. Represented plaintiff, improper investment recommendations, activities included plaintiff interviews, discovery, deposition, and at trial testimony. Case settled in favor of Plaintiff

March 1991 to October 1991

Care Initiatives v. State of Iowa.  Represented defendant, real estate property tax dispute due.  Circuit court ruled at trial that Care Initiatives was not a valid charitable organization and was not exempt from paying Iowa property taxes.  Decision was upheld by the Iowa Supreme Court.  My activities included discovery, deposition, and at trial testimony

January 1990

U. S. Associates v. Harding.  Represented defendant charged with libel.  Jury decision in favor of defendant.  My activities included defendant interviews, discovery, and at trial testimony

  • I do not buy securities for myself or sell securities I own to any of my clients
  • I do not effect securities transactions for any of my clients nor do I receive compensation when they transact a trade with a broker.
  • I do not recommend to clients that they buy or sell securities or investment products in which I or a related person has some financial interest.
  • If I personally own a security for myself, and a client asks for my opinion, I disclose my ownership position and offer no recommendation.
  • I am a fiduciary for my clients and am obligated to act in the best interest of my client.
  • I do not manage, under discretionary authority, any client funds.
  • I do not impose a minimum dollar value of assets or other condition for starting or maintaining an advisor—client relationship.
